Malaga Statistics

Statistics of the City

Going by statistics, it is believed that almost six million tourists visit Malaga yearly. The city normally experiences population density during the months of summer and the area closer to it is much bigger than in the depths of the winter. Spanish is the dominant language in Malaga but many natives have concrete understanding of the English language too.

From the 1970s till date, the number of expatriates migrating to Malaga has always increased having more of British and German nationals who now refer to the Spanish city as their home. Many expatriates in Malaga prefer to settle next to the coastline rather than being at the center of the city.
The dominating religion practiced in Malaga is the Roman Catholicism; although a good number of Protestants also live in the city. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is beginning to gain presence and Islam is also not left out, as more mosques are opening fast in the city. Synagogue and the Jewish Association are also recognized in Malaga.
